100 Peaks - the Carpathian Way by GRA Ukraine
About the trip
- 31.07.2021 - 18.09.2021 (50 days) - Registration untill July 1, 2021
The 100 Peaks project is a long-distance hike across the Ukrainian Carpathians. The trek will last 50 days, during which we will cover a distance of 687 km on foot. The adventure will begin in the village of Volovets, where we will climb Borzhava and follow the route up to Mount Tomnatyk, where the Pamir radar station is located. The project aims to climb the 100 highest mountains in Ukraine, challenge ourselves, and experience a thousand and one emotions.
The idea to implement the 100 Peaks project or the GRA Carpathian Way, arose in 2015 when the GRA company was founded. We had minimal experience at the time, so this project was waiting for its time, and that time has come, although the quarantine contributed significantly to this.
Why is it interesting? In addition to the opportunity to visit all the Carpathians in one go, starting in the summer and ending in the fall, you will have an incredible mind-changing experience. No matter who you were before the hike, after it, you are guaranteed to become a Traveler! Some peaks are impassable, so the trip will not be a cakewalk. The changeable weather, a heavy downpour today and the scorching sun tomorrow, will challenge even the most hardy. Of course, we have also set aside some time to recuperate. During the trip, there will be 9 rest days to clean up ourselves and our equipment and prepare for new peaks. We will also have three reserve days in case of awful weather conditions, such as a storm or thunderstorm.
Anything can happen on a 50-day journey. We invite 12 people, and we believe everyone can complete the trip from start to finish. However, we will give each participant a whistle to blow to signal that they want to end the trip. You can leave the group at the nearest resupply point, where our bus will pick you up. But we are confident that everyone will overcome this path together, with a song and a smile)
Who is this trip for? First of all, for people who want to change their lives and don't know how to go. The trip will give you time to think about everything in the smallest detail, show you the true state of affairs, and bring you closer to nature. All problems will fade into the background, and the mountains will show you the right path. So, this challenge is waiting for you! If you are ready for the biggest adventure of your life, prepare to go beyond the horizon with laughter and tears, read the detailed travel plan daily, and decide whether you will give the hundred highest peaks of Ukraine a chance to change you!
There is one more important point! We should not forget that the war is ongoing, so we are helping the Ukrainian Armed Forces. One of us is at the front—Daniil Kharytonchyk. We will transfer 15% of our profits to the 80th Air Assault Brigade. If you want to donate, you can top up your monobank!
If you are interested in participating, please register, and we will contact you. For more information, please call: +38 (096) 40-33-5890-33-589
