Description

Let's go on a trip to the Gorgany! We set off for a cool hike in the Carpathians in an awesome company, where we will climb Mount Grofa and enjoy a rest near Rosokhan Lake. The route will be very interesting, because Gorgany is our favorite place in the Carpathians, and once you get here, all problems will disappear, leaving only a good mood and a desire for adventure.

Grofa is an unusual peak because you can climb it by different paths and plan a radial hike. We will spend the night in warmth and comfort, in a private cottage in the village of Osmoloda, from where we plan to arrange a few walks to the trail and back route, and the whole hike will be with light backpacks.

There is one more important point! We all should not forget that the war is on, and that is why we are helping the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Day 1: Trekking to Mount Grofa
Today we will have a intence day, and most importantly, a day rich in scenery!
We meet in Lviv at 6:00 am and start our journey. After a few hours in the bus, we will reach the village of Osmoloda, remote from civilization. In this village, we check into a cottage where we will spend the night, leave all our stuff and set off with light backpacks to Mount Grofa.
There is an interesting romantic legend about Grofa. It says that once two brothers, Hungarian counts, were hunting in this area and kidnapped a very beautiful wife of a priest from Perehinske. But the woman had a lover, a young man, who, upon learning of the kidnapping, gathered his brothers and set off in pursuit of the kidnappers. The graphs, trying to avoid the chase, fled very early at dawn. But when they heard their pursuers approaching, they decided that one of them would run away with the girl and the other would fight. When the first of the brothers fell from a bullet, the second one, putting the girl on his horse, rode on. On one of the peaks, his horse died under him, and they continued their escape on foot. But on the second peak, the Graf saw that he could not escape and decided to dishonor his victim. The victim, defending herself, stabbed herself and died. The Graf continued to run away, but was caught on the third peak and killed. So, the first mountain was named Horse Hrofetskyi, the second - Popadia, and the third - Grofa.
From the top, we go down to the village to our estate, make dinner, and play board games.
Day 2: Hiking to Rosokhan Lake
Today we have an easy hike for you, we are going to Rosokhan Lake - the heart of the wild Gorgany. This lake is located at the foothills of the Arshytsia ridge, about which there are even more legends and stories.
Rosokhan is very calm and beautiful, an ideal place for relaxation and meditation, so we'll bring hammocks, sit pads and something tasty to eat and have a picnic by the lake. We'll rest a bit, take some stunning photos, and then head back.
From Lake Rosokhan we go down to Osomoloda, where the bus home will be waiting for us. We arrive in Lviv around 23:00.
