Petra Jordan

We will start our journey in Amman, the capital of Jordan. From the airport, we will go to our hotel and live in Paris Square, one of Amman's most interesting and diverse parts. After lunch in a cozy restaurant, we will go for a walk around Amman: visit the citadel and the Temple of Hercules, which offers a beautiful view of the whole city, and then go down to the main square - Down Town and go to the amphitheater, which has remained in Jordan since the Roman Empire.

We continue our acquaintance with Jordan. Today, we will go trekking, but it will not be ordinary because we will walk through the Wadi Mujib Canyon. This canyon is known for being filled with water in spring, and you have to go waist-deep in water, climb the rock, swim, and overcome a new obstacle again. The adrenaline will be off the charts because it's like a quest: you've passed one obstacle, and you don't know what's coming next. And the next reward will be the Dead Sea, which is located on the other side of the canyon, we will walk along the salt shore, which looks like ice, an incredibly beautiful sight.

After such a busy day, we will go to the city of Kerak, which was once guarded by the Crusaders. If you have seen the movieKingdom of Heaven, you will recognize this castle.

We wake up quite early, have breakfast, and walk around Kerak. We have a grand plan for today, so we start the morning with an excursion to the Renaud de Châtillon Castle, defended by the Crusaders when Saladin decided to start the war for Jerusalem. The history of this place is impressive and worth seeing. After the castle, we will go on the road to the next canyon - Wadi Bin Hamad. This canyon is different from the others because it has hot spring water, and you can walk in warm water all the way. There will be no excessive adrenaline here, but the views are incomparable. You will walk along the canyon and feel completely calm.

From the canyon, we will move to the city of Wadi Musa, where we will explore Petra.

Petra is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. A path between the rocks leads to the city, and at the entrance, you are greeted by a majestic building carved into the rock -Al-Khazneh. The city is quite large, and you can see ancient temples and tombs rising from the red rocks, a theater, huge columns, and various stairways. Walking around the city and exploring it will take us a whole day. Once upon a time, the Indiana Jones movie was filmed here, and now we can feel like an archaeologist and treasure hunter.

You can also see Petra from a height because there are stairs leading to the highest point, the obelisk, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city. We will finish the day at the second most famous building in Petra—the temple of Ed-Deir, which is especially beautiful at sunset.

It is impossible not to admire Jordan because it is very beautiful here, and sometimes the views are unearthly. This can be said about the Red Desert of Wadi Rum. You have seen these landscapes in movies when you watched The Martian, Transformers, Dune, or Star Wars. Wadi Rum is a special place because the sand here is red, and there are huge lonely rocks or whole massifs around that grow out of the sand.

The desert is large and challenging, but we know how to see it from all sides. Today, we will go on a jeep ride through the desert, where we will see stone bridges and desert canyons, drawings of ancient people in caves, and climb the highest dune. We will spend the night camping with our friend Berber, who will kindly invite us to his tent, light a fire, and cook an incomparable dinner because Jordanian cuisine is delicious.

Mornings in the desert are extraordinary, especially when the sun rises. The first rays of the sun illuminate the Red Desert and the scenery changes like a mirage. We have to meet the sunrise and we know one place where we can watch the morning Wadi Rum.

Our trip is very intense and interesting, but it's time to relax and bask in the sea, so after breakfast, we go to Aqaba to the Red Sea. We check into a hotel and go to the beach to swim and explore the reefs of the Gulf of Aqaba. We will spend the next two days at sea, where everyone will have a free program.

Today, everyone has a free program; you can go boating, swimming, sunbathing, diving, or snorkeling. Snorkeling is swimming in a mask with a snorkel and fins; we highly recommend trying it because the Red Sea is rich in various fish, and when you dive into the water, you see an incredible underwater world. The colors of the fish change like a rainbow; all kinds of aquarium fish probably swim here, and if you swim a little further, you can see a museum of sunken military equipment at the bottom; there are several tanks, an airplane, and even a ship.

The water in the Red Sea is almost always warm so you can swim all day. We already have a plan: We will take a mask and fins and explore the bottom of the Red Sea all day long, as long as we have enough energy.

After breakfast, we leave Aqaba. We arrive in Amman around noon, leave our things at the hotel, and go for a walk. There is an interesting street in Amman called Rainbow, where the city's art style is concentrated. Walking along this street, you can see a lot of nice cafes, but the fast food place that stands out is a garage with buses, a fire truck, and other installations. We ate shawarma in a fire truck for the first time. And then, walking along the neighboring streets, you can suddenly see a rover or graffiti from paintings by Dali and Van Gogh, and whoever likes to buy souvenirs, this part of the city is rich in shops with various trinkets.

In the evening, we will celebrate the end of the trip and say goodbye to Jordan.

Today, we are returning home. Our trip has come to an end. Eight days flew by like a moment that gave us great memories and new friends. We never want to say goodbye, so we will say see you soon, maybe in Peru, maybe in Pakistan or Italy, who knows. The world is big and small simultaneously so that we will meet again.
