About the trip

We will climb Mount Pip Ivan Chornohirsky, where the White Elephant Observatory is located. On the hike, we will also visit Mount Vuhaty Kamen and Lake Maricheika. These geographical points are the visiting cards of the Carpathians because of the fantastic views there. From the top of Pop Ivan, we will go down to Lake Maricheika, where we will have a snack and look at this beautiful lake.
We won't tell you much about Pip Ivan because its reputation speaks for itself - it's a stunning peak worth climbing. And if you haven't heard of Pip Ivan, that's a shame - go ahead and register for the adventure;)
There is one more important point! We should not forget that the war is ongoing, so we are helping the Ukrainian Armed Forces. - Day 1: Dzembronia, hiking up Mount Vuhanyi Kamen
The journey will start in Lviv at 4 a.m., where we will meet all the participants, take a private bus, and go to the village of Dzembronia. The first day will not be difficult—first, we will visit the Smotrytsky waterfall, then climb to the Eared Stone, and then reach the ruins of the old shelter, where we will set up our tents.
During the hike, we will make many stops to rest, take pictures, and admire the scenery.
We will prepare a delicious dinner in the evening and admire the starry sky.
- Day 2. Mount Pip Ivan, Lake Maricheika and the descent to Shybene
Today, we will go to the White Elephant Observatory, which is located on Mount Pip Ivan. We already have a good tradition of meeting the sunrise at the top, so if there are volunteers, we will make an early start and see the red sun rising from the mountains. If not, we will sleep and go at dawn.
From the top of Mount Pip Ivan, we will descend to Lake Maricheika, where we will have a snack and look at this beautiful lake. From the lake, we will continue our descent to the village of Shybene.
A bus will be waiting for us in the village to take us to Lviv. We arrive around 23:00.
