Transylvania Romania

Our trip starts in Lviv. We meet at 7:00 and go to the city of Berehove. There, we cross the border with Romania and head to Baia Mare. We will spend most of the day on the road but make several interesting stops. One of these stops will be the village of Sepinca, where we will see the Merry Cemetery. Why is it called the Cheerful Cemetery? Everything is simple: the cemetery features unique colored wooden monuments with scenes from the lives of the villagers buried there, often accompanied by witty poems about the lives of the dead or the reasons for their deaths.

In the evening, we will check into an apartment in the town of Baia Mare and go for a walk, open a bottle of Romanian wine with dinner, and celebrate the beginning of the trip.

We wake up early, have breakfast, and hit the road to the Dyakovo checkpoint. Today, we have to drive 380 kilometers, stopping at interesting places along the way, one of which is the salt mine in Turda. Visiting a salt mine is like traveling to a completely different world. Some people consider it the most beautiful attraction located underground. And indeed, this salt palace makes an unforgettable impression!

After Turda, we drive to Sibiu, where our campsite is located. In the evening, we will cook dinner, play board games, and learn what Doble is.

Transfegeras is the most beautiful mountain serpentine in Europe. This route is considered quite dangerous and is only open for a few months a year when the weather is most favorable. It is on this mountain road that we will go to Lake Balea. We will start hiking and climbing the Fagarash mountain range from the lake. The road is not easy - there will be narrow paths, chains, and high mountains, Paru de Fier 2261m and Arpasul Mare 2468m. The reward for today's efforts will be a great camping place, which we will arrange near Lake Podragu.

We meet at dawn, have a tasty and hearty breakfast, and start the ascent to Mount Moldovyana. We will have plenty of time because today, we plan to climb the mountain and return to the campsite to the lake. A special ritual will await us at the top—everyone who climbs the mountain leaves their feedback in the Moldovianu's diary and be sure to take a photo with the flag of Ukraine.

Today is the last day of traveling in the mountains. The route is very easy: We have to go down to the town of Victoria, where the bus will be waiting for us. On the way, we have a snack, take pictures, and enjoy the Carpathians. We won't be staying long in Victoria; there is still a road ahead to Turda, where our campsite is located. At dinner, we uncork several bottles of Romanian wine and remember the trip's best moments.

It's time to go home, 530 km ahead. The road is long, but we will take it with benefit. First, let's figure out our secret friends - it's the game's meaning.
