The Central Gorgany Ukraine

Ukraine is very rich in landscapes and beautiful places, but of all these beauties, we like the Carpathians, namely the Gorgany, the most. These mountains are very different from their relatives - large rocky blocks - “Tsekoty”, alpine pine - “Zhereb” and various legends make the Gorgany special.

Our journey will start in Lviv where we meet at 4:00 am and go to the village of Osmoloda. The route will run along the Syvulianskyi ridge - on the first day we will climb Mount Serednya and go down to the meadow below this mountain. There we will set up our tents, cook dinner and spend the first night.

We wake up early and set out on the route, today we have to ascend 2 peaks to reach our overnight accommodation. First, we go to Mount Vysoka, and then we go to Mount Igrovets. At the top we have a rest and enjoy the view, the hardest part of the route has already been completed. Igrovets Mountain is very beautiful, especially in clear weather. Here you can take cool photos and have a snack. From the top, we descend to the Borevka meadow and set up camp for the next night.

The third day will be very intense because we have to go through the entire Syvulyansky ridge. So, we wake up and have a good breakfast, pack our things, and go on the route. The first peak will be Mount Borevka 1695 m, then we go to Mount Lopushna 1722 m, Mount Velyka Syvula 1836 m - the highest mountain of the Gorgan range, and we will finish the day with Mount Mala Syvula 1818 m. There are a lot of landscapes and beautiful peaks here if you have never walked in the Gorgany before, you will be shocked and possibly fall in love.

In the evening, both tired and happy, we will go down to the Ruschyna meadow, where there are ruins of an old tourist shelter built in 1924. At this place, we will set up a campsite for the night, where we will enjoy the starry sky and listen to interesting stories from our guides. Oh, we will tell you a lot of stories;)))

The Peklo (hell) precipice is the name of the place we are going to visit on the fourth day of our trip. It got its name for a reason because it is almost a hundred-meter cliff and behind it are the rocky slopes of Mala Syvulya Mountain. It's hard to put into words the atmosphere and impressions we will experience.

After enjoying all this beauty, we will start to descend the route, which is quite long - 16 km to the village of Bystrytsia, but it is only descent and time will pass very quickly in cheerful company. On the way, we will have a snack and exchange contacts, because after 4 days of traveling, we will already be good friends. And of course, we will arrange the next trip together because we will have to repeat such an adventure.

We arrive in Lviv around 23:00.
