Description

During the trip we will have an easy trekking in the autumn Carpathians. At this time, the mountains are dressed in golden and crimson shades, which looks very beautiful. A little bit about the route: during the hike we will climb the Kukul ridge and its peak of 1539m. The ridge offers a panoramic view of the entire Chornohora ridge, where we can see mt. Hoverla and mt. Petros.

This hike will be somewhat different from our usual trips, because the main feature is a visit to Vasyl's house, where we will spend the night. Vasyl owns a house in the Borsucha meadow and, like a true Hutsul, has a trembita, so if we are lucky, we will hear the trembita sound in the Carpathians. We have a few more surprises that we won't tell you about, but you can be sure that it will be delicious, dinner at the host's house is something.

There is one more important point! We all should not forget that the war is on, and that is why we are helping the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Day 1: Borsucha meadow and Mount Kukul
The trip will start at 6:00 a.m. in Lviv, from where we will take a private bus to the village of Vorokhta. On the first day, we will have an easy climb to the Borsucha meadow, where we will be met by Vasyl, the owner of this forestry. We will live in one of the kolybas, there will be heating and comfortable beds. The place itself is filled with the Carpathians authenticity, here you will be able to understand what the Hutsul region is, and also hear the sound of the trembita, because Vasyl is a real gazda (the owner of the house - ed.) who plays the trembita well. Then we will pack light backpacks and go to the Kukul ridge. The ridge offers some of the best views in the Carpathians. This place is unique because you can see everything in 360 degrees, and you can also see the Chornohora ridge with mt. Hoverla and mt. Petros
Our route will go through the top of mt. Kukul 1539m and a little further to the Zakukul meadow. There is another good viewpoint there, where we will have a snack, and in the afternoon we will return to our hut on the Borsucha meadow, where Vasyl will treat us to a meadow dinner.
Day 2. Descent to the village of Voronenko
On the second day of the trip, no less beautiful scenery awaits us, but this time we will walk in the opposite direction of the ridge, past mountain meadows and Hutsul kolybas. So, we wake up cheerful and happy and go to breakfast. For breakfast, Vasyl will also surprise us, and if you haven't tried real Banush, you will have a chance.
After breakfast, we take the route and walk towards the mountain Pid Berdia, where we go down to the village of Voronenko, where the bus home will be waiting for us. We arrive in Lviv around 22:00-23:00.
