Khomiak Ukraine

We are going to the Gorgany range once again. We are very fond of this destination because these mountains are special here. When you see large rocky blocks - “Tsekoty” and alpine pine - “Zhereb” you will understand why this area is so unique. We will climb Mount Khomyak, but it will be on the second day. Today, we will only admire the Zhenetskyi waterfall. So, we all gather at 6:00 in Lviv near the circus and go to the village of Tatariv, where we will have a booked cottage to spend the night.

Today is as easy as possible. We will devote it to getting to know each other, relaxing, and taking an easy walk to the waterfall. After the walk, we will visit the bathhouse and vat to relax. We will play board games in the evening, so you can be sure it will be interesting.

At 6:00 a.m., we wake up refreshed and full of energy, have a tasty and nutritious breakfast, and go to the beginning of the route. We start hiking Mount Khomyak without unnecessary things; we will be climbing with small backpacks. Khomyak is not an easy peak, but it is worth your attention and efforts, especially in March when there is still a lot of snow.

From Khomyak, you can see 360-degree views of the Mountains: Synyak and Dovbushanka in the northwest, Yavirnyk in the north, Lisniv in the east, and the Rokety ridge with Lysyna Kosmatska behind it. In the southeast, you can see the Chornohora ridge with Hoverla. We only hope for good weather so you can see this beauty.

From the top, we descend to the Khomyakiv meadow and follow the route to the village, where the driver will be waiting for us. After the hike, we will return to the house where we lived to pick up our things and then go to Lviv, arriving around 22:00.
